Police are on the hunt for an arsonist who they say has repeatedly targeted an Evesham Township man.

Police are on the hunt for an arsonist who they say has repeatedly targeted an Evesham Township man.

The latest incident happened on July 4th. Investigators say someone burned Bill Collins’ shed to the ground, destroying $10,000 worth of tools. Collins, who was away at the time with his family, tells NBC10 it’s the second time his shed was burned down in only a year.

“I got a phone call from my next door neighbor saying my shed was on fire again,” said Collins.
Collins, a self-employed contractor in South Jersey, says someone also targeted one of his trucks back in February.

“This truck here in February was a week old,” said Collins. “I came out, the door was unlocked. The insides were lit on fire and tires were all slashed.”

Police say another incident occurred in which Collins’ truck was vandalized and found covered with spray paint. To top it all off, Bill also tells NBC10 someone left behind a threatening letter which reads:

You fat, lazy bastard, you’re next. You’re family’s going to be next!

Police believe the repeated fires and vandalisms are the work of an arsonist targeting Collins. Collins tells NBC10 he doesn’t have any enemies that he knows of.

“We don’t have any problem with anybody,” said Collins. “That’s the scary part.”

Collins says he’s most concerned with his family’s safety.

“They’re scared to death,” said Collins. “They think he’s going to burn the house down next.”
Police continue to investigate.
