Police arrested a Camden County man after he allegedly set a pole barn on fire.

On Saturday, around 3 a.m., police say they discovered a pole barn fire at a farm on the 1500 block of Chews Landing Road in Blackwood, New Jersey. Arriving officers removed livestock housed in a nearby stable that was being threatened by the blaze. Police also say they received a description of an arson suspect from a local resident.

Several firefighters responded to the scene. Investigators say one firefighter was taken to a local hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

As firefighters fought the blaze, police performed patrols in the surrounding area. During the patrol, they found Gregory Woodman, 26, of Clementon, who they say matched the description of the arson suspect. Officers approached Woodman who struggled with them before he was apprehended, according to investigators.

Woodman was arrested and charged with aggravated arson, aggravated assault and resisting arrest. His bail is set at $75,000.
