Two men accused of beating a pregnant woman to death last February are in court today for a formal arraignment.
28-year-old Walter Williams and 29-year-old Robert Canda allegedly attacked 21-year-old Tovoyia Owens outside of traffic court back on February 7th.
Police say that Owens was kicked and punched during the assault.
She was taken to the hospital where she died of blunt impact trauma to the neck. She was 4-months pregnant.
Williams is charged with murder. Police believe that a feud between Williams and Owens’ brother is what led to the fight.
Canda is charged with aggravated and simple assault.
Their arraignment began at 11 a.m.
