Armed Robber Targets Center City Bank: Cops

Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a bank in Center City.

Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a bank in Center City.

It happened last Friday at the Republic Bank on the 1600 block of Market Street, according to investigators. Police say the suspect entered the bank around 11 a.m. and told the teller he had a gun. The man then allegedly stole an unknown amount of cash and fled on foot West on Market Street towards 17th Street.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic man with a stocky build, bad skin complexion and shaved head with a receding hairline. Police also say the suspect appears to be in his mid-30’s to early 40’s and stands between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-7. He was last seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
