A masked man tried to rob a woman as she left a popular Main Line restaurant Monday night, according to Radnor Township Police.
Police say the woman was walking to her car on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne around 10 p.m. last night. As she got into her car, she was suddenly approached by a masked man armed with a knife, according to investigators.
“As she was getting ready to close the door, a masked male, all black ski mask, all dark clothing, forcibly removed her from the vehicle,” said Lieutenant Christopher Flanagan, of the Radnor Township Police Department. “He pulled her to the side by some bushes and with the point of knife was asking or requiring her to give up her purse.”
Police say he was unable to grab the purse however since it was slung over the woman’s shoulders. He then dropped his knife and fled the scene. Anyone with information on this incident should call the Radnor Township Police.
