Second Woman Found Strangled in Kensington

A 35-year-old woman's body was found around 4 p.m. Saturday in an abandoned building in Kensington, according to Philadelphia Police.

Nicole Piacentini of Port Richmond was found strangled in the rear of the building on the 1900 block of East Cumberland Ave.

Piacentina's death follows that of nursing student Elaine Goldberg's, who was also strangled in Kensington, less than two weeks ago.

Piacentina had problems with drugs but that didn't make the death any less shocking for her mother.

“This is a parent’s worst friggin’ nightmare. OK, I wouldn’t want anyone to go through this (tears up) I just want justice.”

Both Piacenta and Goldberg's bodies were found half-naked, according to the Inky.

Although the cases are similar, right now, police don't believe they are related, reported the paper.

If you have any information on either death, you're urged to call Philadelphia Police.
