A New Jersey man is facing additional charges in two sexual assault cases in Atlantic City.
Hiten Patel, 34, of Egg Harbor Township was arrested last week and charged with one sexual assault and one attempted assault.
Now, Patel is facing more charges including Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Investigators say that Patel, armed with a gun, dressed as a police officer to sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman last Thursday, August 2.
He was arrested and charged shortly after the attack.
He was also charged in a June incident. Police say the woman was able to escape before she was raped.
"It's really shocking. It's just unbelievable. I hope it's a bad joke," Patel's neighbor Vinny Sandily told NBC10.
Police say the gun used in the August 2 attack was fake.
