Alleged Drug Ring Busted in PA

Nine suspects are under arrest for allegedly dealing drugs in Berks, Lancaster and Lehigh counties

Nine people were arrested during raids in Berks and Lancaster counties on Wednesday.

The Berks County District Attorney’s offices says the organization distributed cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin in Berks, Lancaster and Lehigh counties, as well as upstate New York.

Police seized more than $200,000 worth of drugs and cash, as well as several weapons and a vehicle.

The haul included about 1000 grams of cocaine with a street value of $100,000 and 475 grams of methamphetamine worth about $70,000

The suspects are identified as James Bartley, Junior, Jorge Ruiz, Junior, Yamill Ruiz, Javier Ortega, Antonini Ortega, Carlos Santiago-Velez, Hector Santiago, Junior,  Baudilo Bonilla and Jeremiah Vasquez. They are facing charges that include conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

The arrests are the culmination of an investigation that began in January of 2012.
