Delivery Truck Clips Loaded Plane's Wing

Philadelphia firefighters and airport police responded to Philadelphia International Airport after a delivery truck clipped the wing of an aircraft with 100 people on board.

According to authorities, the truck struck the wing of a Tampa, Florida-bound Southwest Airlines jet parked at Gate E-12 around 7 a.m.

Southwest Airlines spokesman Dan Landson told NBC10 that 95 passengers and five crew members were on board Flight 4739 at the time.

Airport spokeswoman Victoria Lupica said no one was hurt.

The passengers were placed on different flights, according to Landson.

The extent and cost of the damage wasn’t immediately clear. Landson said the airline took the plane out of service so crews could inspect the damage and make any needed repairs.
