A passerby made a grisly discovery along a Philadelphia street Saturday morning.
The person found a 21-year-old man’s body -- with severe trauma to the head -- on the side of N 9th Street near Wyoming Avenue in the city’s Hunting Park section around 5:30 a.m.
Crews arrived and medics pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
Police called the death suspicious but didn't immediately declare it a homicide. Officers began investigating the incident as a possible shooting but later said it appeared to be a hit-and-run.
No word yet on possible suspects.
