Police arrested a man accused of attacking and tying up a 92-year-old woman during a violent home invasion in Mercer County, New Jersey.
Joseph Blanche, 21, of Trenton, was arrested and charged with kidnapping, robbery, burglary, aggravated assault and other related offenses.
Officials say Blanche broke into a home along Manor Drive around 10 a.m. Monday in Ewing Township and attacked the elderly woman inside after ransacking the house for items to steal. The elderly woman was found bound and beaten in the basement of the home.
Police initially said another man was involved in the home invasion. They have not yet confirmed whether or not they are still seeking a second suspect.
The incident was the second home invasion in Ewing Township this month.
