79-Year-Old Man Sexually Abuses 7-Year-Old Child: Police

Police arrested a 79-year-old New Castle man for allegedly sexually abusing a seven-year-old child. 

New Castle County Police responded to a sexual assault report at the Christiana Hospital on Friday, Jan. 28. An investigation then revealed that Frank Williams, of the Leedom Estates community in New Castle, had sexual relations with the child several times during the past year.

Police contacted Williams and took him to police headquarters for questioning. During the interview, police say that Williams admitted to having sexual relations with the child.

Williams was arrested at police headquarters and charged with five counts of sexual abuse of a child in the first degree and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

He was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $300,000 cash bail. He was also ordered to not have contact with anyone under the age of 18.
