$7500 Reward for Mayfair Tire Slashers

Call Philadelphia Police if you know who keeps slashing the tires on cars in the Mayfair section of the city. You'll get a reward.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey announced a $7,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for repeatedly slashing residents’ tires in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia.

The Fraternal Order of Police is giving $5,000 of the reward and the Mayor’s office is offering $2,500.

Tires on a total of 55 cars have been slashed in Mayfair in the past three months while the owners slept, police say.

One resident told NBC10 Philadelphia Tuesday that a neighbor saw two men slashing tires in the last bout of vandalism.

Anyone with information should call Philadelphia Police.
