6th Alleged Conlin Victim Comes Forward

The woman says that she was sexually abused by the Philadelphia Daily News columnist in his home when she was a child.

A sixth alleged victim has come forward claiming sexual abuse by Philadelphia Daily News sports columnist Bill Conlin, according to the Daily News.

Linda Stella told the paper Wednesday night that she was visiting Conlin’s daughter at their family home in Washington Township, Gloucester County when the alleged abuse occurred.

Stella claims that in one incident, Conlin pulled her on his lap, “flexed his leg muscles,” and when she got up, she saw a wet spot on the crotch of his pants, reports the Daily News. Two other times, she says he grabbed her, forced her on his bed and fondled her privates.

Another woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, also came forward with abuse claims Wednesday night.

In total, that makes six alleged victims.

The unidentified woman told the Philadelphia Inquirer that she was only seven when she was allegedly touched by the sports columnist. She says that while she was visiting Conlin’s son Peter, he groped her in the living room as well as a bedroom. The alleged victim tells the Inky that Conlin even went so far as to put his fingers inside her.

The 77-year-old award-winning columnist retired from the Daily News Tuesday, hours before the Inquirer published an article detailing allegations from the first four alleged victims.

Conlin is vowing to clear his name.
