Woman, 64, 2 Men Face Charges After Nearly 1,000 Heroin Bags Found in Delaware Home

Police: 966 heroin bags found in home; woman, 64, charged

Police say a 64-year-old woman is charged with maintaining a drug property after officers found nearly 1,000 bags of heroin at a Delaware home.

WDEL-FM reports New Castle County police say two men, three children and about $800 in suspected drug proceeds were also found Friday in the home along Carlotta Drive in the Wrangle Hill Estates community. Police were called out for fired gunshots and say the woman tried to lie about the people and drugs -- which included small amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana -- inside.

Police say a man looked out a window at them before moving away from it when spotted. Police say there was evidence of a shooting in the rear of the residence and that Laura Stanley said she was home alone.

Stanley, along with 18-year-old Tyrone Gardner and 21-year-old Jamir Waters are held on bonds for various charges including firearms charges. It's unclear if any has an attorney.
