6 Wounded and Rushed to Hospital After Shooting Near Pittsburgh

Six people have been wounded in an early morning shooting outside Pittsburgh.

An emergency dispatch commander says the gunfire erupted around 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of Miller Avenue in Clairton.

The commander says one victim was airlifted and two victims were taken by ambulance to a trauma center. Local media report the three others went on their own to a local emergency room.

The commander says all were reported to be awake and breathing.

Investigators at the scene told local media the shooting happened at an unauthorized speakeasy-type business.

They said all the victims were men in their early 20s.

Clairton is located along the Monongahela River about 15 miles south of Pittsburgh.
