5th Teen Arrested in Rec Center Rape

Police say the 3rd and 4th suspect were arrested earlier in the day.

Philadelphia police have arrested a fourth and fifth suspect for the alleged rape of a girl at a Kingsessing recreational center Monday.

Two suspects were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl at the Francis Myers Rec Center. The girl says that she was using the computer room when she was lured into the stairwell and raped by a group of boys, according to police.

Early Thursday, police announced the arrest of a third suspect in the case. Later that day they anounced the arrests of two more suspects, making it a total of five teens.

Police say the fifth juvenile suspect was brought in to the Special Victims Unit Thursday afternoon by his aunt.

All five suspects are between the ages of 14 and 15., according to police They're charged with Rape, Criminal Conspiracy, Simple Assault and related offenses.
