5 Arrested in Center City Teen Mob

Mob of teens pushed pedestrians, knocked down signs, flipped tables

Police say they've arrested five teens who gathered in downtown Philadelphia, pushing pedestrians and upending tables in a mall food court.

Investigators say 30 to 40 teens gathered around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near Liberty Place, jostling pedestrians and darting into traffic before some headed inside the mall, knocking over signs outside stores and flipping over tables.

A handful of teens were detained by police after leaving the mall. They face charges including rioting and conspiracy.

Police say all five arrested teens attend different high schools and deny knowing the others.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance tape from the mall.
