5 Arrested After Pot Plants, Shotguns Found at Home: Cops

Police say five people were arrested after marijuana plants and weapons were found inside and outside of their home.

Police say five people were arrested after marijuana plants and weapons were found inside and outside of their home.

On Thursday, around 2:50 p.m., members of the Delaware State Police Kent County Governor’s Task Force responded to a home on South West Street in Leipsic, Delaware. Police say they received information that marijuana was being grown in a garden outside of the house.

When they arrived, police say they found four marijuana plants outside of the home standing between six to eight feet high and weighing a total of eight pounds. Police say they then found the home’s owner, Tony Mozick Sr., 44, and took him into custody.

Mozick’s son, Tony Mozick Jr., 20, was arrested after police found him at another house on Denny Street. Detectives searched the home and say they found another marijuana plant weighing around 15 grams, two 12 gauge shotguns and various drug paraphernalia.

The other residents inside the home, 18-year-old Jeremy Delinois, 18-year-old Louis J. Bourdon, and a 17-year-old girl were all arrested and taken into custody. 

Mozick Jr. was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a deadly weapon by person in possession of a controlled substance and other related offenses. He was arraigned and released on $8,500 unsecured bond.

Mozick Sr. was charged with possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy. He was arraigned and released on $6,000 unsecured bond.

Delinois was charged with possession of a deadly weapon by person in possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and other related offenses.  He was arraigned and released on $2,500 unsecured bond.

Bourdon was charged with possession of marijuana, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and released on a $6,500 unsecured bond.

The 17-year-old girl was charged with possession of marijuana, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released to a family member after being issued a criminal summons.
