After only two months without a winner, the Mega Millions jackpot has swelled to $344 million--the fourth largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.
The pot ticked up from $297 million after the Dec. 6 drawing did not result in a winner.
The next drawing will take place at 11 p.m. Tuesday. People can puchase tickets until 9:45 p.m. Mega Millions is played in 43 states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In May, a Mega Millions ticket worth $95 million was sold in New Jersey. The winner split an estimated $190 million with the holder of another winning ticket, which was purchased in Virginia.
