3 Pa. Boys Seriously Burned at Bonfire

SINKING SPRING, Pa. (AP) — Police in eastern Pennsylvania say three 11-year-old boys were severely burned after a bag of trash containing an aerosol paint can exploded in a bonfire.

Police in Cumru Township say the boys were flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown with first- and second-degree burns. One boy is listed in stable condition. There is no word on the condition of the other two boys.

Police say the bonfire had been lit outside a party at the Berks County home just north of Mohnton on Saturday night. At about 11:30 p.m., one of the boys threw a bag of trash into the flames. A spray paint can in the bag exploded, sending flaming debris toward the boys.
