A 36-year-old man sitting in his truck was ambushed by a spray of bullets in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, police said.
He died at the scene.
Witnesses said they heard an argument break out between the victim, who was stopped in traffic near the intersection of 5th Street just north of Roosevelt Boulevard, and one or two other men, according to a preliminary police investigation. More than a dozen shots rang out and then a car fled the scene.
The victim was found slumped over his steering wheel, his foot still on the brake, police said.
Nearby cars and homes were also hit by gunfire, police said.
Police are looking for a suspect.
