$3500 Reward Offered for Info on Person Who Burned, Killed Dog

A $3500 reward is being offered to anyone with information on the person responsible for burning and killing a dog in Chester County.

A reward is being offered to anyone with information on the person responsible for burning and killing a dog in Chester County.

The burned remains of the Yorkie Poodle Mix were found in three plastic bags on the 300 block of Coates Street in Coatesville around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. Firefighters made the gruesome discovery after responding to a trash fire.

Investigators believe the dog died of asphyxiation and was then burned. The owner, Aigner Brown, spoke during a press conference today. Brown said the dog was named Prince Wooga Wooga Brown and was 4 ½ years old. She also says the dog was a graduation present for her daughter several years ago. Brown claims she was out of town on Friday when the dog somehow got out of the house which was having work done. The dog was found dead the next day.

“If someone has a problem and a mental issue and they’ve taken to asphyxiating dogs and then placing them in plastic bags and watching them burn, that person has a problem and they need to be stopped,” said Brown.

“In the eight years that I’ve been here, I’ve never seen something so horrific in my life. Just how could somebody do this to a small animal is beyond my belief,” said SPCA Animal Protective Services officer Craig Baxter.

During today’s press conference, police announced a $3500 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people who killed Prince. If you have any information, please call the Chester County SPCA at 610-692-6113 ext. 213.
