32 Arrested In “Scofflaw Sweep”

It’s a bad "case of the Mondays" for several Philly residents. The First Judicial District Court Warrant conducted a “scofflaw sweep” Monday morning.

During the sweep, officers served warrants against those who failed to pay traffic ticket violations and failed to appear in court. As of now, 32 people are in custody.

Those arrested have about 500 traffic tickets or around $120,000 in fines combined.

The raids began midnight and ended Monday morning around 5:30 a.m. Those arrested were taken to traffic court around 6:30 a.m. where they are set to appear in front of a judge.
