30 People Displaced After Partial Building Collapse in NJ

Passaic firefighters found a partial collapse on Jackson Street around 12:45 a.m. Sunday

Thirty people were displaced from their homes after a building's foundation partially collapsed in New Jersey.

The Record reports that Passaic firefighters found a partial collapse on Jackson Street around 12:45 a.m. Sunday. Officials say that building and the two adjacent structures were then evacuated as a precaution.

Authorities say no injuries have been reported.

The affected residents have not been allowed back in their home because there is a potential for further collapse. It was not clear Sunday afternoon how long it would take for crews to shore up the building's foundation.
