Police are charging three men, including a Newark bar owner, after a fight at the bar.
Officers called to the Wize Guys Sports Lounge last week for a report of a large bar fight last week found a man unconscious and the rest of the people involved gone.
Police say 25-year-old Ernest Mingo of Bear kicked the man in the head. Police say the man was treated for a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain, but has since been released from the hospital.
Police say owner 30-year-old Mariano Castelli of Middletown wouldn't cooperate and his associate 26-year-old Christopher O'Neill of Newark lied about his identity and gave a false statement about the incident. Both were charged with hindering the investigation on Friday.
Mingo was charged Monday with second-degree assault.
