Former Police Officer Suspected in Delaware County Triple Shooting

A former police officer in a Philly suburb is the alleged gunman in a deadly triple shooting that occurred Monday night in Delaware County, according to reports.

The ex-police officer for Colwyn Township is accused of opening fire in a home on the 600 block of Glenfield Avenue in Glenolden around 9:30 Monday night, shooting and killing one woman, and wounding another, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

Another police officer, who happened to be in the house at the time of the shooting, shot the suspect, the Delaware County Daily Times reported.

The injured woman, along with the gunman, were taken to local hospitals, officials said. Their conditions are unknown.

Authorities have yet to release the victims' identities.
