A woman is fighting for her life after a hit-and-run accident in North Philadelphia.

Police say the 25-year-old woman and two other people were inside a car traveling south on 2nd Street approaching Westmoreland Street around 3 a.m. on Saturday. Suddenly, police say, a black car struck the left side of the car, causing it to crash into several unoccupied, parked vehicles.

Police say the striking vehicle then fled west on Westmoreland.
All three passengers inside the car that was struck were taken to Temple University Hospital. The woman is in critical condition while the other two victims suffered minor injuries.

Police say the hit-and-run vehicle may be a mid to early 2000 4-door Pontiac with minor damage to the front bumper and possible black paint scuffing.
