3 Men Indicted on Heroin Charges in Pennsylvania

Federal prosecutors say a grand jury has indicted three Pennsylvania men on separate heroin-related charges.

U.S. Attorney Peter Smith said Wednesday 37-year-old Curtis Mitchell, a convicted felon from Harrisburg, faces a life term if convicted of selling heroin and possessing a short-barreled shotgun.

Prosecutors say 42-year-old Eddie Viera of Shippensburg is charged with distribution and possession with intent to distribute heroin.

Viera was arrested in February following a 20-mile high-speed chase, during which prosecutors say he tossed more than 950 packets of heroin out of his window.

Viera faces up to three decades in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors say 26-year-old Brandon Brooks of York faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

It wasn't immediately known if the men have lawyers.
