3 Injured in Northeast Philly Car Crash

Police say driver will face DUI charge

Three men have been hospitalized after a car hit a tree Sunday morning in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police say the accident happened at around 3:30 p.m. near 13065 Roosevelt Boulevard and the intersection with Woodhaven Road. A witness told police that the Plymouth Neon was traveling north in the outer lane when the operator struck a curb. That caused the operator to lose control of the car and cross all lanes before jumping the median and hitting a tree.

All three occupants of the car were taken to Aria Frankford Torresdale for treatment. Police say the two male passengers, both 18, are in critical but stable condition. They also say that the 20-year-old driver will be charged with driving under the influence and related offenses.
