Philadelphia's reputed mob boss may face a second mistrial as a jury again struggles with his racketeering case.
The jury says it's at an impasse after a few days deliberating the case against Joseph "Uncle Joe'' Ligambi and his nephew. But the judge told them to keep working.
The 74-year-old Ligambi has been in custody for more than two years. He's on trial with 50-year-old nephew George Borgesi.
Alleged underboss Joseph ``Mousie'' Massimino is serving a 15-year term after being convicted at the first trial last year. That jury deadlocked on the key racketeering charge against Ligambi and Borgesi.
Prosecutors say they ran a gambling and loansharking ring that threatened debtors.
Defense lawyers call the case an expensive "witch hunt.''
The jury is set to resume deliberations Tuesday.
