Police Find $2M Worth of Heroin in NJ Home

Police have not made any arrests after discovering more than $2 million worth of heroin inside a home.

A detective noticed the door of a house on North 4th Street was wide open and went inside. The 3.7 kilo bricks were wrapped in newspaper and were inside a dismantled television.

Paterson Police Director Glenn Brown tells The Record newspaper the drug dealers had not yet broken the heroin down into smaller packets.

“That’s a lot of heroin for someone to lose,” said Brown told the paper. “This could be a big problem for somebody."

Brown estimated the drugs to be worth around $2 million.

It's not known if the home was partially or fully abandoned.
