Police say they seized 223 pounds of marijuana that had been hauled in a tractor-trailer after an
officer became suspicious about the cargo being unloaded into a pickup truck at a shopping center.
Authorities filed drug charges against the truck's owner, 40-year-old Andre Lue, after a Lansdale police officer happened on the suspicious scene early Wednesday morning.
According to investigators, the person removing cargo from the tractor-trailer sped away in the pickup after being noticed.
Officials say the truck was found abandoned with seven bales of marijuana inside. A search of the tractor-trailer turned up two more bales.
Lue was arrested at an apartment complex nearby. He's jailed on $500,000 bail.
Police are still seeking the pickup's driver.
