2 Women Accused of Hindering Investigation of Shooting Death of 8-Year-Old Girl in Camden

A second woman is accused of providing a false statement to detectives in the investigation of the shooting death of an 8-year-old girl in Camden.

Natasha Gerald, 19, of Sicklerville, New Jersey is charged with hindering the investigation of the death of Gabrielle Hill-Carter. Investigators say Gerald provided a false alibi for a person of interest in the shooting. She was processed and released on a summons.

Hill-Carter was wounded when gunfire erupted near her home on the 900 block of South 8th Street in Camden, New Jersey back on August 24. The young girl’s family announced two days later that she had died from her injuries.
