Police are investigating a double shooting in the Kingsessing section of the city that sent two men to the hospital.
Officials say a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were on the 5700 block of Springfield Avenue overnight when an unknown gunman opened fire.
The 28-year-old was struck once in the arm. He was taken to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital where he is in stable condition. A 24-year-old man was struck several times in the stomach. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is in critical condition.
No arrests have been made. Police have not yet released information on any suspects.
