2 Men Arrested in Heroin Bust

Two Philadelphia men have been arrested in upstate New York on drug charges after a months-long investigation.

Erie County Sheriff's Office Senior Detective Alan Rozansky says Edwin Santiago and Chayanne Colon-Medina were arrested Friday after police observed them driving to suburban Buffalo every few weeks to sell heroin.

He says the 27-year-old Santiago was arrested on drug possession and Colon-Medina was charged with criminal trespass and other charges. They were in custody and unavailable for comment. It wasn't clear if they had attorneys.

Rozansky said investigators recovered more than an eighth of an ounce of heroin. He said the men tried to flush some of it down a toilet when they were arrested.

Rozansky said the duo had been seen regularly returning to the Buffalo area to sell heroin.
