2 Intruders Flee After Woman Starts Praying: Police

Philadelphia police have been searching for two young men who tried to rob two women of drugs and money but ran out of the women's apartment after one of them began to pray.

Police tell the Philadelphia Inquirer that the women insisted they didn't have cash or drugs, but the men persisted and pointed their guns at one of the women, who was 40 years old, and threatened to pistol whip her.

That's when the second woman, who is 55, began praying aloud. Police say that caused the men to run out a rear door without taking anything.

The incident happened about 10:40 p.m. Saturday in North Philadelphia.

Philadelphia police were still seeking information on who the men might be on Monday.
