2 Rescued After Boat Capsizes

Two people were rescued after their boat capsized in a southern New Jersey waterway.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred around 1 p.m. Saturday on Daretown Lake in Upper Pittsgrove Township.

Authorities told The South Jersey Times that the two people in the boat stood on top of it while awaiting rescuers. Salem County emergency responders and officials from other agencies soon responded and brought the pair to land a short time later.

It's not yet known what caused the boat to capsize.
