2 Bodies Found in Raritan River Near Victory Bridge

Two bodies have been found in a central New Jersey waterway, but authorities say the deaths do not appear to be connected.

Both bodies were found Saturday morning in the Raritan River, near the Victory Bridge in Perth Amboy, but neither body has been identified. One was an adult, while the other a juvenile male.

Perth Amboy police tell NJ.com that the bodies were found by a state police marine unit involved in an ongoing search for a man who had reportedly jumped from the bridge earlier this week. But it appears the other victim jumped off the nearby Driscoll Bridge.

Authorities have said marine units found some clothing in the water during previous searches. But it wasn't clear Saturday if the clothing was connected to either victim.
