Sisters Killed in Juniata Crash

Car spun out of control before being hit

Two women have died after a two-car accident in Juniata early Saturday morning.

The accident happened in the 200 block of Hunting Park Avenue at around 2:15 a.m. Investigators say the cars were approaching each other from opposite directions when a green Chevrolet Impala heading westbound hit a patch of snow on the road and spun out of control. The car that spun was then t-boned by the eastbound car, a green Chrysler.

The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said that the victims were 22 and 21 years of age, were both in the car that spun out of control, and were speeding at the time of the crash. Their names have not yet been released.

Police said that the two males in the other car were taken to Temple University Hospital, where both were listed in stable condition.
