2 Men Hurt in Overnight Stabbings

Two men were hurt after a pair of overnight stabbings in Philadelphia.

Officials say a 28-year-old man was stabbed in the back and shoulder shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday on the 2000 block of Allegheny Avenue in the Kensington section of the city.

The victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he is currently in stable condition. Police say a suspect in the stabbing is in custody though they have not yet revealed his identity or the specific charges against him.

A little over an hour later a 34-year-old man was stabbed in the neck on the 5500 block of Lansdowne Avenue in West Philadelphia. He was taken to Lankenau Medical Center where he is currently in critical condition. No arrests have been made.
