2 Men Force Their Way Into Frankford Home: Cops

A 65-year-old homeowner was assaulted. His wife was not hurt

Two men knocked on the door of a Frankford home just after midnight Monday morning, pretending to be looking for someone. But police say they returned a few minutes later and forced their way into the home on the 4700 block of Oakland Street.

Investigators say after the men knocked on the door, they asked if "Tyrone was there." The homeowner told the men they had the wrong house. Police say they returned a minutes later, forced their way inside and assaulted the 65-year-old homeowner.

Police say the home invaders made off with his wife's purse. She was upstairs at the time and was not hurt.

No arrests have been made.

The homeowner is being treated at Temple University Hospital.
