2 Injured in SEPTA Platform Shooting

Victim is in critical condition

Two men were shot while on a SEPTA platform early Sunday morning in Center City.

A 19-year-old man was shot twice in the back and was stabbed in the head and back in the incident, which happened at about 12:40 a.m. Sunday on the subway concourse at Broad and Locust streets.

That victim is listed in critical condition at a local hospital.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the foot. He was listed in stable condition.

The 18-year-old victim told police that he was walking down the concourse to catch the trolley, and as he walked past Locust Street, he heard five or six gunshots behind him and felt something strike him in the foot. He said he ran up the steps near Walnut Street and collapsed against the wall.

No arrests have been made in the case.
