Two people were injured when a pickup truck struck two homes and a parked sport utility vehicle in southern New Jersey.
Lakehurst police tell the Asbury Park Press the truck hit a guard rail on Route 37 westbound around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. It then hit a curb and entered the eastbound lane before leaving the roadway.
The truck hit the corner of a home on Brown Avenue, causing extensive damage to the residence. It then went into a neighboring yard and hit the SUV, knocking it into the second home.
The pickup eventually came to a stop after also hitting the second home.
The driver, 46-year-old Ronald Fredericks of Seaside Heights, and his passenger, 57-year-old Linda Addario of Jackson, were both being treated for undisclosed injuries.
