Rescuers rushed two people to a local hospital after the pair escaped a South Jersey house fire early Saturday morning.
The blaze broke out in a home on the 300 block of Reeves Road in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County around 3:45 a.m., according to firefighers.
The pair who escaped also suffered smoke inhalation and are expected to be okay, officials said.
The American Red Cross Souther Shore Chapter assisted the home's residents, a mom, dad and their 18-year-old daughter, with temporary lodging and other needs since the fire displaced them from their home.
No word yet on the cause of the fire.
An investigation is underway.
