A 14-year-old student died after apparently suffering cardiac arrest during gym class on Thursday.
Grief counselors will be on hand at Manchester High School Friday to help friends and fellow students with the sudden death of Francesca (Frankie) Previti.
School Superintendent David Trethaway says the 10th-grader was on the school track just before 2 p.m. when she went into cardiac arrest.
She was pronounced dead at Community Medical Center around 2:30.
Mike Paulhus with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office told the Asbury Park Press the cause of death is still pending an autopsy and toxicology report.
