Children, Man Die in Head-On Crash in the Poconos

Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania have released the names of a man and two teenagers killed in a head-on collision between a box truck and a car on an interstate in the Poconos.

State police in Monroe County said 61-year-old Luigi Depari of Allentown was driving the truck on I-80 East in Pocono Township that crossed over the grass median, went through a guardrail and hit a car carrying five people just before 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Depari was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene. Twelve-year-old Sammy Rutkowski was also pronounced dead at the scene. Fourteen-year-old Andrea Rutkowski was pronounced dead shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
