Police arrested a second suspect in the shooting of a Philadelphia police officer in Kensington Thursday.

Police say 27-year-old Anel Cuenas was apprehended around 5 a.m. Monday morning.

Cuenas shot Philadelphia Police officer Kevin Livewell after the officer and his partner stopped a white van on the 3000-block of N. Water Street Thursday night, according to police.

Two masked men got out of the stopped van and opened fire with assault rifles on Livewell and his unnamed partner. His partner was uninjured but Livewell was shot once in the right leg just below the knee.

One more suspect is still on the loose.

Livewell was brought to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.
