One person is dead and three others were hospitalized after a one-car accident in Springfield Township early Saturday morning.
Authorities say the accident happened at around 3:15 a.m. Investigators say that the car was going south on California Avenue when the driver lost control. The car hit a telephone pole before striking two pine trees, and eventually came to rest by the side of Route 212.
The 43-year-old driver died in the crash. The other three passeners, a man and two women who were all 28 years of age, were treated at a local hospital.
The names of the victims have not yet been released. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
