1 Dead, 2 Injured in Row Home Fire

Authorities in central Pennsylvania have identified a woman killed in a row house fire that critically injured two other people.

Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick said 55-year-old Patricia Scott died of smoke inhalation and burns in the blaze in Lykens.

Hetrick said Scott was in a room with oxygen tanks she used to treat a medical condition when the blaze started at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

Another woman and her 12-year-old son escaped out a second-floor window.

They were taken to Hershey Medical Center and later transferred to the Lehigh Valley Burn Center, where they were listed in critical condition Monday.

Hetrick said there was evidence that the victim smoked in the room, but officials said the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
